You could not be pregnant today, if you had unprotected sex yesterday. It takes about 7-10 days from the moment of conception (a sperm fertilizes an egg) until the fertilized egg implants in the uterus (moment of a viable pregnancy). You then would not have any pregnancy symptoms for at least 2 weeks after implantation. Did you have unprotected sex at any other time (before yesterday)?

If you had unprotected sex, and do not want to be pregnant, you need to use emergency contraception immediately. I am sure you, a friend, family or partner can find $30 to borrow, as this is nothing compared to the cost of a pregnancy, ending a pregnancy or a baby.

Call Planned Parenthood (find your local health center: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/emergency-contraception-morning-after-pill-4363.htm) or your local pharmacy and ask for "Plan B". Are you 18 years or older? If not, you may need to go to the doctor and get a prescription. Do you have health insurance?

Please talk to future sexual partners about using a condom each and every time. They are effective and affordable.
