Q:

I have a 10 cm Giant cell tumor growing in the tibia - surgeon is suggestion to remove my entire knee. Is there a way to replace the tibia without effecting the knee because there is nothing wrong with the knee cap?

Hi Anonymous,

If anyone suggests removal of a limb I would definitley get a second opinion. I cannot suggest alternatives for you since we cannot diagnose you but if I were in your position I would certainly get a second opinion. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Thanks Misses for your suggestion. There's always what if this and what if that and I do strongly feel that second opinion is where I should start. Hopefully the referral and approval process is quick.
