Hello Anon

Thank you for writing!

Montelukast is used for asthma and seasonal allergies. Many medications are are used for alternative reasons and Montelukast is one of them - for vulvodynia.

The NBCI (The National Center for Biotechnology Information) has reported a study that posted the conculsion "Subjects treated with montelukast showed an average of 52% in improvement in symptoms as compared to a 15% improvement in the controls."

So taking it, especially being in the pain you're in - may be a viable option. Talk to your doctor.

Best,
Susan
