I have a pain in my lower abdomen that feels like it does before I start my period but I have had my period 3 days ago. I have noticed this pain over the last month

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Lower abdominal pain can sometimes be caused by gas or muscle pulled. Other more serious conditions such as Appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, irritable bowel syndrome and many other conditions might be what's causing the discomfort. If the pain does continue after your period is finished, you might want to see your doctor. Imaging testing such as an ultrasound might be needed.
