I've talked to Medicare, and I'm just stuck until end of year w/Kaiser who I don't trust, have changed docs there 4 times, I give up, they're terrible, inept and the worst insured organization. I'm stuck with Calif's "Health Care Advantage" plan until end of Dec. then I will switch to Blue Cross or some other non-HBO plan (PPO is what I need). Currently only a chiropractor is providing a tiny bit of relief with this terrible low-back, damaged ankle, flat-feet problem, I've tried "everything" to be able to walk..only thing that relieves me (besides pain-patches etc.) is this pelvic belt. What do I do? I'm stuck for 6 mos. without real health care because of my mistake in signing up for Kaiser, out there they're making terrible mistakes, there's more but this is my problem: no insurance (it's HBO Kaiser) and bad-back at 76, can barely walk, I'm healthy (I use herbs, good diet, have no diabetes etc.) but with a heart w/congenital problem, I NEED to WALK....please advise, thank-you. Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and Welcome to Empowher. I am sorry you are dealing with so much pain as well as the roller coaster ride with your medical doctors. Were you previously treated for your symptoms prior to a change of health care providers? If so, what was your treatment?
Since you have back issues, flat feet and a damaged ankle…it appears that seeking a physician’s assistance is necessary. Do you need ankle surgery? What exactly are you diagnosed with for your ankle? It would appear from what you explained, you may be limping perhaps due to your feet and ankle issues and therefore, the lower back problems are now an issue. I am just assuming from your explanation though.
Can you provide us more information about your conditions so we may better assist you?
Thanks and good luck,
