Kaymarie,
No, the birth control shouldn't make it a GREATER chance. The most common way of getting pregnant while taking the pill is to start late -- in other words, by finishing one pack but starting late on the next pack.
This page has a lot of good information:

Hi, KayMarie,
Here's what Drugs.com says about missing a pill of your Junel fe 28 prescription:
If a patient forgets to take one or more tablets, the following is suggested:
When one tablet is missed: Take tablet as soon as remembered and take the next tablet at the regular time.
Did you do this?
If so, you should still have been protected, with just slightly less effectiveness since it was your first week. But yes, every time you have unprotected sex when you have missed a period, you do increase your chances of getting pregnant.
Here's that page on drugs.com if you want more info. Scroll down until you see "Special Notes on Administration."
Does that help?
