Before I was taking BC, I was only getting 2-4 periods a year and they were completely off any kind of schedule. After 4 years taking them, I've had some experiences with trying to switch brands and dosages and my period only regularly comes with some of them (I tell you this to imply that even after years of BC giving me regular periods they still don't seem to come on their own). Eventually I will probably want to have a baby - with very irregular/infrequent periods, will I have a lot of trouble getting pregnant? Will I even be able to without it being a completely unplanned surprise (Due to the irregularity)? Will I not be able to get pregnant at all?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question. This real answer to this question is "I don't know". You will have to wait and see what happens as each and everyone of us is different.
The best thing for you to do is stop taking the birth control and start trying (thats the fun part). Monitor your periods and ovulation regularly and keep your physician in the loop as to what you are planning to do. At this point, we don't know what the future will hold but the best part is try, try and try!
Good luck!
Missie
