Hi Anon,

You can't have your menstrual period while you're pregnant.  Some women do have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy.  But vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is not the same thing as menstruation. Bleeding occurs during pregnancy for various reasons, some serious and some not.  Some women have light bleeding or spotting very early in pregnancy – around the time their period is due – and they may mistake that for a period. This so-called "implantation bleeding" may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of the uterus.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Have you taken a home pregnancy test. If you had bleeding for three months while pregnant, it might be happening again.  You should definitely see your OBGYN and let him know about having your period in december twice and all your current symptoms.

Best,

Daisy
