once you have had a pap test or a blood test for any other STI's and are clear of everything if you stay with the same sexual partner who is also clear of everything and you do not have any sexual contact with any one else apart from each other, should you still go for pap and sti tests regularly ? or can you still catch sti's from each other even though both of you are clear and are not having any sort of sexual contact with anyone else.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. If both partners are STD free, you should be safe although some things may pop up that are non-STD related such as yeast infections and bacterial infections. Trust plays a huge part on having sex with your partner who will remain monogamous.

Hopefully this helps answer your question.
