Hi, I have posted a topic here regarding underarm pain and I mentioned that I'm going to see my dermatologist today which I did and he is very nice and helpful. He told me I have something called hidradenitis supparativa. Today he gave me an injection under my arms and told me what it does it makes the cyst less. I don't remember his exact words though but I will find out more about what it's for next time I'm seeing him. My doctor the dermatologist told me for such thing it can keep coming back and told me they treat this whole matter by making it go away is by surgery. My oncologist knows about this whole history of my problem and for such problem I'm experiencing it's become a real long time I've been suffering with such thing.

Does this sound right to you that experiencing such problem that makes you get all infected and the only thing that helps you in such matter is antibiotics, do you think is right to suffer like this for always and take antibiotics for the rest of your life? Of course doesn't sound right and such thing is a recurring problem. Out of what I just mentioned I'm going to say this to my oncologist which I'm going to see him soon so I'd know what more I should tell my dermatologist. I am really glad I'm getting somewhere but no relief yet though. I know it takes time.

Thanks,
Melissa

Thanks for your reply. I do know it takes time to get it all better and I'm glad I know the cause of it. I'm going to see my doctor soon and hopefully get to the point sooner.
