Guide

Hi brk and welcome to EmpowHER.

Taking folic acid will not help you to conceive and it doesn't change your menstrual cycle. Folic acid is a vitamin, Vitamin B9, and is not a fertility drug. Please see this article for more information:

The Effects of Folic Acid During Pregnancy

The best time to conceive is during the second and third weeks of the menstrual cycle. While a normal cycle is considered anywhere between 21 and 35 days, the average is about 28 days.  Ovulation (the time when a woman is fertile) occurs mid month, this averages to around day 14 every month, give or take several days before and after.

You may want to see your healthcare provider to get more information and support.

Hope that helps,

Pam
