Hi Anon, Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community. Sexually Transmitted Diseases or STDs can decrease the fertility. STDs like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, are called "silent" infections. If left untreated they can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) and yes infertility. PID and silent infections can cause permanent damage to fallopian tube, uterus and surrounding tissue, often times with out any symptoms. That's why it's so important to get regular exams/Pap smears, because if there are no symptoms, it will be left untreated and do further damage like infertility. I hope this helps.
