Q:

Irregular vaginal bleeding?

Ive been bleeding irregularly for a while now, and it first happened a day or two after having vaginal sex. I thought it may have been my period because it was during the semester and usually my period becomes very irregular due to stress, but it was really light in consistency unlike the mucous-y consistency of that from menstruation. So I think it may have been some sort of injury from rough sex. It would usually be that way for a week or so and go away but always come back after sex which lead me to believe that it may be some sort of vaginal tear or injury? I've been on a holiday break and haven't had any intercourse for the past month and was fine, with normal discharge and what not but as of recent, it happened again but not from intercourse but from a little masturbation/clitoral stimulation which leads me to believe it may be some sort of vaginal injury. I've scheduled an appointment with a doctor to get it checked out but the next available appointment isnt for a while so I wanted to at least get some sort of peace of mind as to what this all may be. Thanks.

Guide

Until you have a pelvic examination, the possible causes of the vaginal bleeding can only be speculated.

Since you have noticed a correlation between sexual intercourse, masturbation and vaginal bleeding, I suggest that you avoid such activity until you have been examined.
