I've always had a normal 5 day period each month, but this month of May I had pink then it turned a light brown color spotting instead of an actual period and IM NOT PREGNANT. I haven't did anything to become pregnant.last month I bled twice April 1st and April 22nd. And me bleeding twice a month usually happens every six months, I guess that means my period switches up.My cycle typically ranges from 21 to 28 days. Please tell me what it could be, I'm 20 yrs old and I'm worried now. Is this my period or something else?

Hi Brittsin,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Many things can cause a woman to have irregular cycles.  Hormonal imbalance, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and many other. You might want to discuss it with your doctor. Imaging testing such as an ultrasound might be needed to know what can be causing these changes. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
