I was just wondering if the sunspots turn into skin cancer should a person have more sun exposure without wearing a sunscreen.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question. Sun spots do not mean cancer. Many of us actually have different pigmentation that often show as we tan due to sun exposure. To reduce the effects of sun spots, you should try to stay out of the sun or always use sun block while in the sun. If you are concerned about the sun spots, you could always get an opinion from a dermatologist who can take a a sample of your skin to make sure you don't have some sort of fungus.

Hope this helps,
