Hi can someone help me with this? I used nordette last oct. 7 then in nov.5 i used again nordette due to unprotected sex. Is there any chances that I wont have a withdrawal bleeding this month? I know the chances of getting pregnant is low because i took nordette 8:49pm then another 4 at 8:49am. Is it still safe? I do swear this will be my last time to use this ecp. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? :(

Hello Rio,

Welcome again to EmpowHER. I see you posted a question on November 5 about taking Nordette.

Nordette, like all emergency contraceptives, are intended to be used only in emergency situations and not recommended to be taken more than once in a one month period.

It will not cause you any issues other than changes or an upset in the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. Wait and see if you get your next period. It could start on time or earlier or later, because of taking Nordette as you did.

Rio, please reach out to your gynecologist with any further concerns and as a resource for birth control options.

Regards,
Maryann

Hi ms. Maryann another question, IS HAVING A PINKING/BROWNISH DOSCHARGE CAN BE CALLED SPOTTING OR CALLED IMPLANTATION BLEEDING?? IS THERE A GREAT CHANCE OF PREGNANCY IN THAT CASE?

Hello Rio,

Implantation bleeding occurs about six to 12 days following conception. Not all women have implantation bleeding.

It happens when the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus. Thus, you are pregnant.

It is pink or brown color spotting, which is just spots, not a flow, like with your period.

It lasts about two to three days, never increases to a flow and goes away on its own.

Maryann

I had the darkish discharge sometimes brown and sometimes just white so this means its not a spotting right MS.MARYANN? Im still waiting for my withdrawal bleeding. If I get my withdrawal bleeding does it mean im not pregnant? Please reply thank you so much

Guide (reply to Rio)

Hi Rio,

The darkish discharge could be old blood left from your last period. The white discharge is normal vaginal discharge, and nothing to worry about.
Once you have withdrawal bleeding, it will mean you are not pregnant.

Maryann
