Q:

Lump inside my vagina

I've found a little lump on the inside of my vagina, just outside the hole I guess.
I noticed it yesterday as I was feeling quite sore when walking and sitting down, so did a check and just felt a little bump,
over night I think it's got bigger and is defiantly more sore, it hurts when walking, siting down and doing anything really, I couldn't even wear underwear today as they just dug into it and made it really unbearable.
should I book an appointment with a doctor tomorrow, or should I maybe just wait a few days to see if it settles down as I feel it will be quite an embarrassing situation, I'm only 20 and have never had an examination down there before?

Like I said I am 20, like literally just turned 20 today, it's my birthday today, what an awesome birthday present my body decided to give me and am sexually active, although it's been a while tbh. What could it be and what should I do?
Thankyou :)

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Happy Birthday by the way.   You need to make an appt with a doctor, preferable with an OBGYN. There is nothing to be embarrassed about, that's what he/she are there for.  You won't be the first woman with a condition like this.  It's important to be examined and know what exactly can it be, your doctor will then prescribe the right treatment to make you feel better.

Best,

Daisy
