Milky white vaginal discharge

Earlier today I had a clear discharge that just gushed out and this evening I open my legs and what looked like milk came out. I have never seen anything like it before. What does this mean? Am I pregnant? Am I ovulating? Or is this my vagina's way of cleaning itself? Neither discharge had a smell. My menstrual cycle was just last week and was cut short. I have also been having these short moments of feeling like I am going to start on my cycle as well. Any suggestions about what is going on with my body?

White discharge with no discomfort or foul odor is normal. Especially if you have been seen and tested by your gynecologist who found no infection in your vaginal area. As long as your white discharge does not have a cottage cheese appearance with a foul smell-- this is perfectly normal.

Best of Luck,

Rosa

Thanks for the advise and the article. I already have two inside dogs, they r both like my babies. My oldest dog always seems to notice if im upset or not feeling well and will nudge me, lick my hand or lay her head on my lap.
I guess we will just keep trying.

Hi,
Get a pet. Does this sound crazy? You and your husband might enjoy reading this article, "The Power of Pets When You're Trying to Conceive" from the website, conceive: http://www.conceiveonline.com/articles/power-pets-when-youre-trying-conceive

I too have just recently had this white milky discharge, I noticed it in the toilet after I had a bowl movement, I've had this b4 and I also seem to b mi.fs wet and have some sort of discharge in my underwear.
I've heard to use un-sented soap, but I'm totally un sure. After reading some of the posts I guess it could b just regular discharge getting ready for another menstrual cycle.

Another thing if anyone has suggestions. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. The first year we just had unprotected sex, then decided to get checked. He had a semin analysis and everything came back good and I had blood work and my fallopian tubes checked, everything was good. I am 27 and have always had irregular cycles so have been on provera for about 10 months every month to get my cycle started and then clomid to make me ovulate and still no luck.

Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

My sister is a Maternity nurse. She used to tell me that you should lie on your back and prop a pillow under your butoocks after intercourse. It is supposed to help the sperm reach their destination. I believe you should stay there 10-15 minutes at least. Good luck.

You are absolutely right. Early diagnosis and treatment for any condition, minor to serous, gives the best prognosis. Better to get it checked out. Speak with the gynecologist and explain that you do not have health insurance. You might be able to negotiate a payment plan of paying an amount that you can afford each month and pay over a period of time.

Thanks For your reply,
well im in arizona currently i will move around and see, im very concerned and wanna get this checked out as soon as possible..
and just for the record... is this "were to be" soemtrhing serious an STD OR WAHTEVER waiting would only make it worse right? as in... if i were to not waste any more time and go get checked out, i "could" possibly prevent somehting bigger from occuring .. like an STD or soemthing more tideous.. correct?
thank you good day :D

Hi Bashful,
The cost of a visit with a gynecologist, including a Pap smear, is dependent upon where you live. Cost will vary. For the New York metropolitan area, which I am familiar with, I would guess you can expect to be charged at least $250.00 conservatively. With a Pap smear, you will be charged by the gynecologist for doing the test and be charged by the laboratory for the analysis. I think you should have a gynecological exam to determine the reason for the vaginal discharge and odor. See if there is a health clinic in your community that offers health care at a minimum cost.
