My period lasted for 2 days. Is that normal?

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend 3-4 days after I got my period. I took Emergency contraceptives right after that occurred and a week later, I got my period, but it only lasted for 2 days. It was a normal flow of blood and it's color was red. Am I safe?

Hello I am 28 years old and my boyfriend and I are trying to conceive. My periods last 1 1/2 to 2 days and the cycles are between 30 to 40, 43 days. what does this mean?

A period that is short in duration may be your normal, or it could indicate a medical condition. That is a big range of what it "could mean", and in order to know what it specifically means for you, it would be important for you to visit with your OB/GYN before you become pregnant to ensure that you have a healthy Pap smear and everything looks healthy (I assume you have been going to your doctor for annual exams?).

Hi Hakuna,
Your stomach grumbling can be many different things such as hunger pains. As Allison mentioned, you may just be late and not necessarily pregnant. As there is the concern for pregnancy, our minds and bodies tend to 'react as we are pregnant sometimes'. Also period and pregnancy symptoms are often similar, take a pregnancy test to be certain. This may help calm your nerves as well.
I hope this helps.

Hi Alison,
It's already January 3 and I still haven't gotten my period. My stomach has been grumbling a lot recently like before I go to bed and when I wake up. Is that normal or is that an early sign of pregnancy? - Hakuna

So, I'll count the days from my real period and not from the day of my breakthrough bleeding to know when my period will come? :) I got my period last November 26 and it lasted for 5 days. Then on, December 10-11 was my breakthrough bleeding. When should I expect my period? :) ---Hakuna
