Hello,
I was on my 6th day of my cycle (just finishing my period). The condom split so I took the first tablet of postinor2 2 hours later (1am). We then had unprotected sex 6 hours later (7am). I took the 2nd postinor tablet 3 hours later(10am).
8 days later I had heavy bleeding lasting 4 days. Firstly, is this a sign that postinor worked?
Since then i have had no sign of my period.
In the last 2 weeks (aboit 22nd day of cycle) I have had the flu and been unwell. This has all made me quite anxious.
My period cycle is quite irregular.

November 4, 2017 - 1:45pmLast September after my period was finished I had unprotected sex and had prostinor 2 on 25th September. My period date was on 24th October but as I had the medicines, my period got early and I had it on 2nd October. Within a month on 22nd October I had unprotected sex again and I took prostinor 2 on that night and took the second medicine in the next morning. My period date was on 2nd November and it still not happening. Is it because on September I got my period early due to the medicine or should I take a pregnancy test? Does it happens to everyone? It’s already late for 4days. And it’s been 2weeks I had prostinor 2.

I'm having the same issue. i took postinor 2 on my ovulation day, took the second pill 14 hours later. my period was supposed to come yesterday, but till now nothing. is it possible I'm pregnant?

Hi,
If you read through the comments, you will see this is very common. ECP should not be used often and only in emergencies. The more often you use it, the more likely you are to have irregularity in your cycle. So this is likely the cause for the delay in your period. If you don't have bleeding (and/or a period) within 3 weeks of taking the pill, test for pregnancy.

Pls help a soul, I had unprotected intercourse on the 8th day of my cycle - 12 Sept.
I took postinor 2 hours later- 13 Sept. Was expecting my period on 3 Oct but I have not seen it till now.
I had a pregnancy test on 4 Oct n it was positive, had another on 17 Oct and it was indeterminate.
I was asked to repeat the test two weeks later - Oct 31. Pls what are my chances?

Hello.
Typically, the chances are very low after taking Postinor within 24 hours. It prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation, but it won't stop a pregnancy already in place, (if ovulation and fertilization have already occurred).
I'm not sure how you could have a positive test, and then an indeterminate one. I assume these are urine tests? It might be a good idea to have a blood pregnancy test taken to be sure.

hello..i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend exactly 2 weeks after my period..which was on the 5th..and few hours later i took bicham ampiclox.. then on d 11th i had unprotected sex with him again and took postinor2 the next day.. im supposed to ecpect my next period on the 18th but till now i haven' t seen it.. could it be that im pregnant?

Hi.
Your period is likely delayed because of the ECP. It's recommended to test for pregnancy if your period is more than a week or 2 late. ECP is for emergencies and should not be used as a regular form of birth control as it can cause irregularities in a woman's cycle.

Hi ... me and my girl friend had unprotected sexualy time.. befor the 4 days her menses starting day.. ( her mensus starting day 11th of September we had sex 7 th of September) but we had use condom as well as..and Postinor 01 . But still now she doesn’t had mensus.. 7 days lat... what we do.,?

Hi,
I'm confused. Did you use a condom or not? Emergency contraception can sometimes cause a period to be delayed, so this might be why her period is late. There is information with the pills that should be read so you know what to expect. If her period is delayed another week, and she is concerned, she can test for pregnancy.
