My period is late after taking Postinor 2

Hello,
I was on my 6th day of my cycle (just finishing my period). The condom split so I took the first tablet of postinor2 2 hours later (1am). We then had unprotected sex 6 hours later (7am). I took the 2nd postinor tablet 3 hours later(10am).
8 days later I had heavy bleeding lasting 4 days. Firstly, is this a sign that postinor worked?
Since then i have had no sign of my period.
In the last 2 weeks (aboit 22nd day of cycle) I have had the flu and been unwell. This has all made me quite anxious.
My period cycle is quite irregular.
Thanks for your help in advance

Hi,

White discharge (without burning or itching) is normal. The bleeding after ECP is usually an indication that the pill has worked to prevent pregnancy. It can cause irregularity in your cycle. This is not uncommon. If you are concerned, test for pregnancy to ease your mind.

Hi,

HPTs are accurate 14-21 days after sex. If they are taken correctly, you can trust the results. ECP can definitely mess with your cycle, especially if too much is taken or taken too often.

Hi,

if you are concerned, and it would ease your mind, you should, yes.

If you had sex that recently (within the last few days) it's too soon to test for pregnancy. The Postinor causes changes to your cycle. You may still get bleeding. Wait and see, or call your doctor if you are still concerned.
