It comes and goes but it's a pretty strong smell when it happens. I have no burning or itching or any discomfort but I,m still concerned. Please help!

The appearance and smell of your urine, as well as how frequently you urinate, tells you what is happening in your body.
Urine that has a strong odor and is cloudy indicates a urinary tract infection.
Urinary tract infections don't always cause symptoms. But when they do, symptoms can include:
1) urine that appears cloudy
2) strong-smelling urine
3) a strong, persistent urge to urinate
4) a burning sensation when urinating
5) passing frequent, small amounts of urine
6) urine that appears bright pink or cola colored. This is a sign of blood in the urine.
7) pelvic pain in women, rectal pain in men
I suggest you make an appointment with your doctor, who will ask you to give a urine sample that will be tested. Often, the urine sample can be tested in the office with a special dip stick. If you test positive for an infection, a urine culture will follow. This test uses your urine sample to grow bacteria in a lab and determine which particular bacteria is causing your infection. Then, the correct antibiotic will be prescribed.
