Hi Anonymous,
Sorry to hear that your kidney failure has progressed so quickly-- have you been under treatment for the past year?
The rate of kidney failure depends on how soon you are diagnosed, what steps you take to change and improve your lifestyle, and what treatment you're on. However, there are cases where kidney failure is diagnosed early and even if you and your doctor do all you can to attempt to slow down the progress, your renal failure can still progress rather rapidly.
Here's a little reading I want you to do on Stage 4. The more you know about what is going on in your body, the better you can take care of yourself. http://www.davita.com/kidney-disease/overview/stages-of-kidney-disease/stage-4-of-chronic-kidney-disease/e/4751
Best Wishes,
Rosa
