My period was one week ago and one of my nipples is extremely sensitive. To the point where it hurts just from my shirt rubbing against it. It looks as if it is hard but it is actually soft, and the other nipple is just normal. Has this happened to anyone else before or is it unusual?

Can you tell us more:
- Is this symptom recurring after every period?
- Is there any discharge from your nipple?
- Is your breast or nipple hot-to-the-touch?
Have you had any sexual activity that involved your breasts and nipples being touched (and possibly one nipple was pinched hard in the heat-of-the-moment)? Your nipple could have some residual pain or irritation from a sexual experience such as this...just another question for you (to rule out all possibilities).
