What's the best thing to do for this. I have had constant back pain and pain pills aren't working. Had a recent MRI which indicated the Osteoarthritis. I need some relief, usually in tears by the evening.

Thank you your assumptions are correct it's in the spine but radiates to my left side. Walking seems to irritate it, would that go away if I continue with it?
I'm going to try massage and possibly acupuncture. Thanks,

Hello tone4862,

Without knowing the severity of your disease, it is impossible for me to speculate. I will suggest that if the pain worsens with walking, stop.

Hello tone4862,
I can only imagine the severity of the pain that you are experiencing.

From what you have shared, I am assuming that you have been diagnosed with spinal osteoarthritis, which is degenerative arthritis of the spine. Osteoarthritis of the spine is a breakdown of the cartilage of the joints and discs in the neck and lower back.

In general, the initial treatment may include losing weight, if needed and exercise. Swimming, walking and water aerobics can help. A plan of exercise can include strengthening exercises, aerobic exercises and range of motion exercises.

Some people gain relief from massage therapy and acupuncture.

Consult your physician before starting any new treatment or exercise program.
