Like, right below my pinky toe- that part of the foot. The upper right side of my right foot hurts when I step on it. It was a minor pain, but it got worse and worse. I stepped and turned on it, and it hurt really bad. Like a sharp pain. Rubbing helps a little, but it hurts to walk on it. Help?

Hello Anonymous,
The pain in your right foot, in the area below the fifth toe, may be caused by inflammation resulting from strenuous activity or ill-fitting shoes. Wearing high heels or tight shoes can lead to foot pain. If none of these possible causes apply to you, a stress fracture may be the reason.
Because the pain persists and increases with walking, consult your physician. You may need to have an x-ray of your right foot done.
Please keep us updated.
