pain in the tail bone area

when sittinf for long periods of time and go to stand up, theres a pain in the tailbone area which makes it hard to stand, and then it passes

Hi Anon,

It's completely normal. Some of us have more "cushioning" around our coccyx (or tailbone) so we don't feel any pain while we're sitting. However, some people do feel pain/discomfort when they sit for too long because the bone is feeling the pressure. You can purchase a coccyx support cushion to help relieve the pressure and allow you to sit longer without any discomfort.
