Upper Right Chest pain is caused by: 

• Broken or bruised ribs
  
  
• Pleuritis orpleurisy
  
  
• Pneumothorax
  
  
• Shingles
  
  
• Pneumonia
  
  
• Pulmonary embolus
  
  
• Angina
  
  
• Heart attack(myocardial infarction)
  
  
• Pericarditis
  
  
• The aorta andaortic dissection
  
  
• The esophagus andreflux esophagitis
  
  
• Referredabdominal pain

Any time you have chest pain, it is advised that you see a doctor right away because of the possibility of it being something dangerous.
