Hi all,

My period has been a little lighter than normal. I've never had sex. I've only ever done dry humping with my boyfriend and we were both clothed. You can't get pregnant that way right? I've been stressing lately so I'm thinking that is why it's light. I wouldn't classify it as spotting because I've had to change tampons a couple times today. What's going on?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks for your question.  If you and your partner had clothes on, it's not possible to be pregnant.  Having changes of tampons, it's another indication that you are not pregnant.  Menstrual delays can occur from stress and menstrual cycles can be different every month. (Heavier or lighter, longer or shorter).

Best,

Daisy
