Q:

period or implantation bleeding?

I'm usually really regular with my period coming on the same day every month. For the past couple months it's been coming on the 18th. So today I was fully expecting my period but what I had was some light pink spotting this morning and then nothing until this evening when I had some brown spotting. Could this be implantation bleeding? I had a miscarriage last year and didn't even know I was pregnant, so I'm not really sure what this is.

Hi owllover88,

Yes a period can end with brown spotting.  But if you feel your cycle is not normal, it might be good to see your OBGYN and let him know the changes this month.

Best,

Hi owllover88,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Have you taken a pregnancy test.  Being today would have been the first day of your period. You might want to wait a few more days and if you don't have a period, take a home pregnancy test.  That's the only way to really know.

Best,

Daisy

I had some very light bleeding but it's not my normal period. I've not even filled one pad whereas I usually go through 4 or five in 1 day. could it just be i had a lighter period this month?
