I had unprotected sex beginnings of October (around the tim I usually get my period.) I took Plan B within the 72 hr time slot. The same day I took plan B, I got my period lasting 5 days, normal-heavy flow. I'm waiting for my next period now and wondering if there's still a chance I could be pregnant??? Probably just stress, but I need someone to knock some sense in2 me--please help.

Let me offer you some reassurance. You took Plan B correctly. You are not pregnant. Changes in your period are a side effect of taking this emergency contraceptive pill. Women report that the menses may start a few days early or may be delayed a few days. The amount of menstrual flow may be either lighter or heavier than usual.
It is important to know that some women will experience spotting a few days after taking Plan B One-Step. Because Plan B One-Step may delay ovulation, you may be at risk of pregnancy in the first few days after treatment. You should use an effective method of contraception for the remainder of this menstrual cycle and thereafter.
Hope this information helps,
Maryann

Also--I took an at home pregnancy test yesterday even though I haven't TECHNICALLY missed a period yet. It was negative--is that a reliable result, or no since I haven't really missed a period considering I got mine after Plan B?
