Q:

Pregnancy risk?

Hi,

I'm on Estelle 35 and I missed an inactive pill, but I've never missed the active pill and I take it around the same time everyday. Usually, my partner and I always use a condom- we didn't this time around and he didn't pull out on time. I then realised that this occurs a day before ovulation.

Is there a chance of pregnancy at all?

Thanks.

Hello, Anon!

Thank you for posting.

Don't worry if you miss an inactive pill (these are the ones without any hormones, which are included in your pill pack to help you remember to take a pill every day). Some women on the pill choose to use condoms, others don't. It's a personal choice. You are not required to use condoms on the pill. As long as you are taking them regularly, as directed, the pill is about 99% effective.
