A few months ago I went for both gastroscopes scans of my pelvis and abdomen with blood tests including pregnancy but all cane back clear and no problems. I’ve been getting a heavy full feeling in my stomach and recently a pulsating feeling above and mostly to the left of my navel. I’m having difficulty passing gas and extremely constipated. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling and very heavily bloated.what could this be?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing!

The aorta is the largest artery in the body and is divided in four sections. The abdominal aorta begins at the diaphram and travels down through the abdomen.

It is normal to occasionally feel the pulsing sensation of blood traveling through the abdominal aorta.

However, since you are in pain and dealing with constipation and gas, I suggest you go back to your doctor to discuss various possibilities like irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease and various digestive conditions that could be causing this.
Best,
Susan
