Recently, I have arthritis in my left thumb. I don't feel any pain and the thum is still very flexible (I can bend to form an angle close to 90 degrees). Byt a few times in the day, I would feel something grinding or very rough inside. Then I have to hodl the finger and help it to move a few times until I hear a little 'click' sound, and i would feel fine until it happens again. Please advise. Thank you.

May be 5 or 6 years ago, my family doctor has ordered an xray for my fingers and found osteo-arthritis at the joint of every finger closer to the finger nails including the thumbs. She advised me to take Glucosamine Chondroitine (500/400mg) 3 times a day. I have been taking these since, and the situation is under control until these few weeks when the condition is getting worse on the left thumb. Currently, my family doctor is on vacation. Therefore she has not recommended any treatment option yet.
