I had a bone scan done after 3.5 years since my last bone scan which showed I was severely close to osteoporosis. Well, now, at 19 I have osteoporosis. I had my 2nd bone scan done a couple weeks ago, and got the results back saying I had osteoporosis. I got the 2nd test finally done after so long, because I have been having excruciating back pain and shoulder pain after only 15 minutes of walking--after walking for a limited time, I'm in such pain, that I have to lay down for a good hour. I also have scoliosis (have known this my entire life). my right shoulder is noticeably higher than my left shoulder. My osteoporosis is mainly located in my spine. What are the results of having both scoliosis and osteoporosis at a young age? Do having both of these worsen either condition? If so, in what ways?
what treatment is best and what can I do about the pain?
Thanks in advance!
