short cycle

Hi. I'm 22 and not sexually active. My cycle is always fairly short, around 22 to 25 days. This past cycle was just 19 days. What could that mean and should I see a gynecologist now or can I wait to see how long my next cycle is? Thank you!

Hi Anon,

Every now and again something will bring on your period a little earlier or your cycle will just change on its own, this fine as long as you aren't bleeding for over a week. If you  feel as though you are starting to have multiple periods in one month, then please contact your OB/GYN and schedule an appointment but, like you said, you may want to wait to see what happens next month.

All the best,

Rosa
