Is there a risk of getting pregnant ?

I got intimate with my bf 1 week back. Although we did not have sex, he rubbed his penis on top of my vagina. He did not insert it , nor did he cum on top of it. He cummed separately and then the next morning he again just rubbed his penis on top of my vagina. Is there any chances of pregnancy here ? He's a mature guy and have had sex earlier. I've still never had it. On being asked weather i should go for a pill, he told me that there is no need to, as he knows nothing went wrong. Is it all safe or shall i go for a checkup ? Its just been one week.
