Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

There are many theories are to why nails are the way they are. Some say nails moons are connected to Vitamin B12, zinc, magnesium or calcium. There are no large studies on this. It could be an individual quirk to your own nails or you may be vitamin/mineral deficient. As long as your nails and strong and healthy looking, it's not likely to be serious but talk to a dermatologist or your doctor about it then next time you're in.
Best,
Susan
