Thank you for writing.
Cotton fever is caused by intravenous drug use where cotton is used to filter drugs before use.

Symptoms are like very bad flu - high fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, body aches and burning pain.
Medical attention and a detox plan are needed.
