I have pcos. I eat right and run 6 days a week and I still cant lose my weight, so I am just so tired of trying. I have tried phentermine pills and they gave me bad depression. I feel like whats the use? Its never going to happen. The only thing that is keeping me doing it is because I feel better than before. I need to lose 50lbs and just wondering what kind of tips you had.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a chronic endocrine disorder in women that increases the male hormones and obesity is a common side effect. Please visit our site on PCOS here https://www.empowher.com/condition/polycystic-ovarian-syndrome.

The best option to try and reduce the additional weight effect caused by PCOS is to make an appointment with a nutritionist. They specialize in the area of disorders that cause weigh gain and can certainly help you with your struggle. I am glad to hear that you are a runner and consistent with your running. Do not give up on this as endorphins that are produced with exercise will help with your depression. Don’t give up and make yourself an appointment.
Please keep us posted.

Sincerely,
Missie
