Hi, I'm 27 years old and I've been experiencing under arm and breast pain and my doctor told me my under arm was infected and he gaeve me antibiotics until I felt better. It's been about 10 times that I've been feeling like this and my doctor doesn't always see being infected but I get such horrible pain and end up crying from pain and worry. I noticed in the past when I was shaving my underarms I got a big cut from it and after awhile I stared getting such breast pain. When I'm in pain and it doesn't show anything from my underarm my doctor examines me and doesn't feel or see anything but the whole pain is just there, I'm wondering what could this mean? I feel alot of sharp pain under my arms and it bothers me alot. I dont' know what is this and what else to tell my doctor about this. It's become a very tiring situation for me. Let me know what you think I should do or is best to tell my doctor?

Thanks,
Melissa

My doctor told me once I have such pain and problem I should go in right away. My concern is what if he still don't know what the problem is, because I'm really tired of this pain and problem. I don't know what to do like this.
I have been seen by a breast surgeon and he told me once I have such pain and problem I should see him right away to know what's causing the problem. So far it's like this for me with the breast surgeon so far so good. I'm seeing my oncologist in about a week for follow up do you have any suggestions in what is best I should say?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa,
Lymph nodes are found throughout your body. Lymph nodes are our defensive system again infections and disease so they are important. Here is a website that provides information as to why lymph nodes may get enlarged http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003097.htm.

Follow up with yor Doctor is necessary if you are expereincing pain. If you are not satisfied with the care given by your doctor, I would certainly request a second opinion. Most physicians will let you visit their office the day you realize that there is something wrong, I would suggest this so they can get a good look at the inflammation. I hope this helps and good luck.
