Hi,
It might. These things are harmful can affect your overall health in many ways. See a doctor about the swelling and tell him the things you are taking.

Hi,
I can't say why it happens mostly on the boat. See your doctor if it persists.

Just finished moving after 9 days straight. Now the tendons in my ankles and up the back of my ankle is killing me. Going barefoot helps more than putting on a shoe. I only weigh 104. NEVER had this happen before. Have kept elevated for 4 days to no avail. I am 58.

Hi,
Moving is hard. Being on your feet and doing things you don't normally do. Warm compresses might help, alternating with ice. Ibuprofen is good for pain and inflammation. If you are not better soon, I would see your doctor. There might be something more going on than a strained muscles or tendons.

Hi, Anon.
Thank you for your message.
*Foot, leg, and ankle swelling is also known as peripheral edema, which refers to an accumulation of fluid in these parts of the body.
Some causes for leg and/or ankle swelling may be caused by weight. Excess body mass can decrease blood circulation, causing fluid to build up in the feet, legs, and ankles. Standing or sitting for long periods. When the muscles are inactive, they can't pump body fluids back up toward the heart. The retention of water and blood can cause swelling in the legs. An injury of some sort can cause the foot or ankle to swell.
