Hi Anon,
Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community and wishing you and your husband the best of luck as you are trying to conceive!
Cramping is a common period symptom for many women, and some also experience lower back pain due to contractions by the uterus. Sometimes it can also happen after your period has ended. If the uterus contracts too strongly, it can press against blood vessels, resulting in back and abdomen pain.
How long have your cramps and pain been going on? From what you have described, it is most likely a symptom associated to your period. That is definitely a good question to mention to your obgyn.
Please let us know what you hear back from you obgyn. We are happy to help answer further questions too.

I have cramped two weeks prior to my period and now almost a week and a half after my period. so all together almost four weeks straight. i have never had this problem. I do have PCOS but i am afraid that I may have endometriosis. I go to the doctor today so hopefully i can get an answer.
