What does it mean if you have sex and afterwards you have a brown discharge?

So me and my partner had sex this past Saturday night unprotected and now I'm having a brown discharg. It's not alot but I'm on the orthrp evra patch and when I had sex it was time to change my patch and I forot to change it. Can you let me knw what's cauing this. And there is no pain ordor are anythig just the brown discharge

You're okay. This happens sometimes but it's not abnormal your period sometimes self-adjusts. If you were to get another period say 2 weeks from now, then I would advise that you give your doctor a call.

Ok now today Im having something like my period And it's not time for it...does this go back to the old blood thing?

Hi girlygirl11,

Brown discharge can be one of two things in your case: either your patch is causing you to spot, which can be a side effect. Or when you had sex you "loosened" up some old, pooled blood and that's why you are now experiencing brown discharge.

There's nothing to be concerned about. I hope you changed your patch immediately when you remembered that it was supposed to be changed and please set an alarm or something to remind you that it should not be worn for longer than 7 days.
