About 2yrs ago I started having palputations on and off. Now early this year it became wrost, it came with pain. My chest felt tight and my heart felt like it was rolling in my chest. I had an ekg done which was fine. I had a stress test done which was abnormal, so I had another stress test also some kind of xray with dye and the result was fine. The Docter told me that it could be a differd pain from something else. So I had xray of my chest which was fine and I just got an ultrasound of my golbladder hpoe I spelt that right, that result was fine. I am scared I want to know what is wrong with me. I have another appointment with the Docter soon where do I go from here. I am 36yrs should I be having these problems so young. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks for your question.  After having all kinds of test done and them coming back fine. It rules out heart attack.  But here is a list of causes for chest pain.

  • Broken or bruised ribs ,Pleuritis or pleurisy , Pneumothorax , Shingles, Pneumonia, Pulmonary embolus, Angina, Heart attack (myocardial infarction),
  • Pericarditis, The esophagus and reflux esophagitis. Here's a link on Angina which is another cause for chest pain.
