Something that looks like a boil near the vagina could be an ingrown hair that has become infected. It could be an infected skin tag. It could also be a sexually transmitted infection like genital warts (although these look more like flesh colored warts) or herpes. Herpes can look like a boil.

To know for sure, have your doctor check it out.
