I am going to be 40 in less then 3 months. I have always been a sexual woman, who has enjoyed orgasms. In the last year and a half I started experiencing pain during orgasm. As soon as I feel the orgasm coming on, it feels like me uterus is contracting, and I feel a dull pain, it causes me to not orgasm the same way. This has become frustrating to me and my husband of the last 15 yrs.
I have been to my gyn and I was treated for mild dsyplasia, but he told me that does not explain the pain, he doesn't seem to know what the problem is,,,, can anyone help with this? Thanks

For you ladies talking about complication with your tubal, check out the fb group "The new PTLS support group". PTLS is post tubal ligation syndrome. Some people say it doesn't exist, but more ppl will tell you it does.

I am 35 years old and I recently was diagnosed with endometriosis and I also have a small ovarian cyst. My gyn doctor put me on birth control pills to regulate my periods, hormones, and to help minimize the pain. I haven't been experiencing as much pain; however, I do feel an excruciating pain when I'm about to have an orgasm. I been using castor oil which has lots of benefits such as: improves immunity, boost circulation, helps balance hormones and helps heal wounds. I also started researching foods that will help shrink ovarian cyst as well as to help with the healing of the uterus. Some of the foods that are beneficial to the uterus are: broccoli, nuts, warm milk, green tea, lemons, and fish. Hope this helps and praying for everyone to heal.

There's hope !!!!! There's no one solution for all - so everything needs to be considered
It could be ovarian issues or endometriosis if the pain is more abdominal - they definitely have solutions - drugs, surgery for ovarian if necessary, exercise, etc
It could be hormonal stuff - as with removal of ovaries or menopause that causes plenty burning or dryness and pain - needs loadsa lube and possibly docs might give hormone supple if needed
It could be appendicular mass if the pain is in the right lower quadrant of abdomen
If the tests are all negative - it could still be muscular trigger point in abdomen or pelvis - for which self release or release by the therapist can DEFINITELY be done followed by exercises - Go to an experienced physiotherapist who deals with these kind of problems - NOT ALL PHYSIOS DO
Dysorgasmia, Chronic Pelvic Pain, Infections are problems to be considered
As for me - I definitely believe in prayer and that the great physician can heal or lead us to the right place of healing - so pray !!
In my case I self released two trigger points but one point - I'm not gonna release before I make sure if it's ovarian- in which case pressure is not a good idea - so I'm praying and hoping for the best
Peace

I experienced the same pain also. I let go of having orgasm to see if it would do away . The pain got less but it was still there. I was getting worried so I went to get a ultrasound and they found nothing. So I didn't know what to do . I had this pain about 2- 3yr . I wasnt enjoying sex anymore .
About 2months ago I changed my eating habits more healthy and I changed to eating Himalayan pink Salk that has very good benifets.
One day when I realized pain had gotten less .
And a little days after I noticed it was gone. I started crying I couldn't believe it:) . I belive changing my eating habits is what cured it . I hope this helps someone like it helped me

I had the pain and it would come and stay for awhile and then was gone. It came back again and stayed again for awhile. Then gone again. As with you, I also changed my eating habits to healthier eating. I take Vaginal Raw Probiotics and no fairy, Gluten free, No butter or canola, No corn or wheat. No sugars. No sweeteners. I eat lots of coconut. I was diagnosed with endometriosis, which is something not able to be found without doing a Endovaginal Ultrasond. That is the only way unless you undergo Laproscopy. They say Fibrocysts can cause the pain too. Keep researching and only you know your body.

I think it has to be hormonal because Ive dealt with this same problem on and off for 10 years and Im 51, a mother of 3, all natural birth, I had a tubaligation in my 20s. Although Im also organic and have been for 15 years now, And I have this same problem, I only cook with Coconut oil and I use olive oil for dressing only. It always surprises me too,

I am 51 years old and this is a new problem for me. I have done some research and found this article that says hormonal balance may have an impact. Here is the link..

I went to my doctor today and discussed it with him. I've had this problem for a few years now, where it's become increasingly worse. I'm only 26, so menopause wasn't the culprit, and although I have endometriosis and ovarian cysts he explained that wouldn't be the cause. What it is is my uterus reacting to the stimulation in a negative way, and it has to do with my hormones. He said almost always women have had to eventually get a hysterectomy, however he wants me to try birth control first to get my hormones under control. He said if it works, great! If not, then we will explore the hysterectomy. It scares me to think that I could lose my uterus at only 26, although my tubes are tied and I know I'm not going to biologically have any more children, there's just something so permanent about it. I hope you find out what'she causing this. I do feel relieved I know the reason behind my pain

I find it interesting that you mentioned your tubes were tied. Did your symptoms start prior to the tubal or after? If after how long after? I had a tubal ligation 6 months ago and about 3 months ago started developing some really odd symptoms (burning inside vagina, loss of sexual desire of course because i don't feel normal down there) and now with orgasms (without penetration) i feel a pain (feels like a pulling) in my lower right side above pubic bone. I haven't had an orgasm during sex since the onset of my symptoms. Only outside stimulation achieves orgasm. All of this is new and disturbing. Docs have been clueless. I finally saw a specialist who thinks i have Interstitial cystitis which i am not going to claim. I can't help but feel like this is all related to my tubal ligation (burned each tube in 3 spots). I think i need to try pelvic floor therapy. Maybe the instruments used during the laproscopic tubal injured nerves or something. The pulling i feel is on the same side i have my lower belly laproscopic scar.

In these cases- what might happen is that the ovaries may stop producing enough hormones - that's why it feels different down there - extra lube might help !
