My husband passed away in 2007, of cancer he would have been 63 today.I thought to myself the impact he still has on me especially on special days like today.I seem to get so overwhelmed, sad, and frustarated, at how he had to die.He battled cancer for approximately 3 years and it was a long hard fight for us both. I do my best to give to the Cancer Society, but for me and others dealing with our loved ones the cure for cancer seems so far away.

Hi,
I know that there are many people out there who share your feelings. I am a cancer survivor but have lost both parents and 3 of my grandparents to cancer. Cancer takes its heavy toll on both patients and their families. Each year, more is learned about the possible causes and new treatments are being researched. We must be hopeful.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. My thoughts are with you.
