I have ended up in the ER twice now (once for a kidney stone), once for being dehydrated (and rather suddenly left homeless due to a 'friend' and a slumlord). This was traumatic. I still can't afford health insurance. The irony? My dad is a retired doctor. I worry that something serious could be wrong with me and that is not a weight anyone should have to carry around but I seriously don't make enough income to support consistent insurance payment (over $ 100 a month, easy, as I am a Gen-X-er).
