Dr. Theodore Friedman is concerned about the escalating rate of type-2 diabetes in the U.S. Every age group is being hit with it.

Dr. Friedman has some suggestions that can help you avoid type-2 diabetes. He recommends keeping a proper weight, through eating a healthy diet and through exercise.

He also advises having your blood tested to screen for type-2 diabetes. There are two tests available. One measures a fasting blood sugar. The other is a test for the hemoglobin A1C.

If you watch your weight, watch your diet and make a point of exercising, your risk of type-2 diabetes will decrease.
